Benetton picks music exec as CEO
Benetton has named a music industry executive, Gerolamo Caccia Dominioni, as new chief executive.
The move comes four months after former CEO Silvan Cassano quit over differences in the company’s management.
Dominioni, 52, takes up his new post at Benetton on June 1. He has been at Warner Music, now known as Warner Music Group, for the last 10 years and currently is vice chairman and chief operating officer of Warner Music International.
A Benetton statement cited Dominioni’s international experience in the “complex” entertainment sector as well as his “capacity to create a cohesive and motivated managerial team.”
At Warner Music International, Caccia Dominioni was first South Europe President, then Europe President, finally taking on his current position. During his 10 years with the group he contributed to the international development of Warner Music in almost 40 countries.
