Bargain Max expands reach to Ireland
Online discount toy retailer Bargain Max is expanding its reach to the Republic of Ireland by offering shipping to the country. Items will be delivered free of charge on orders of €30 or over.
The Manchester-based retailer said it has seen a 118% increase in sales in its last quarter with profits up 148% year-on-year. Trade has been boosted by people buying Christmas presents early this year due to the Covid-19 crisis. Traffic to the company’s website climbed by 86.29% in October.
A Bargain Max director said: “We recognised that shoppers in Ireland required a competitive price on free shipping thresholds so it was the right time to expand the business in this way.
“We expect sales to continue to be strong online, with continuing Covid-19 restrictions meaning more people are turning to purchasing online than ever before.”
A recent survey by Bargain Max of 2,573 parents found that 89% are planning to use delayed or alternative payment methods to facilitate buying this year’s Christmas toy gifts.
