Barbour appoints head of global e-commerce

Lifestyle clothing brand Barbour has appointed David Cottage as head of global e-commerce.

In his new role, Cottage will be responsible for developing the success of the brand online while working closely with Barbour’s global head of marketing Paul Wilkinson.

Cottage was most recently head of e-commerce at Hewlett Packard. Prior to that, he held a number of e-commerce and online roles at Santander, Belron and Hasbro.

Barbour has also appointed Paul Johnson Barnett as head of distribution with responsibility for managing all of Barbour’s global distribution as the business expands worldwide.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Johnson Barnett was previously logistics and supply chain director at Hobbycraft.

Barbour managing director Steve Buck said: “I am delighted to welcome Paul and David to the business. As we expand and grow as a global lifestyle brand, it is important to bring in specialist knowledge and expertise in order to help us deliver our key objectives.

“Paul and David both have extensive experience in their chosen fields and have proven track records of delivering to very high standards.  Their contribution to the business will assist us in our vision to become the best British lifestyle brand worldwide by 2020.”
