Bally appoints new chief executive
Luxury shoe brand Bally has appointed Frederic de Narp as its new chief executive.
De Narp will join the Labelux owned company in November from Harry Winston where he led the turnaround of the luxury jewellery brand in his position of president and chief executive.
Prior to joining Harry Winston in 2010, De Narp spent 18 years with Cartier where he held a series of international retail positions throughout Asia, Europe and the US.
Labelux chief executive Reinhard Mieck said: “We are delighted Frederic will be joining Bally at such an exciting time in the brand’s development. He is an outstanding luxury leader with proven skills in all the areas that Bally will focus on in the years ahead. We are nearing a successful restructuring, holistic upgrading and repositioning of this fantastic brand and will be ready to roll out the new Bally as early as 2014.”
De Narp added: “This is a very exciting opportunity for me, and I am thrilled to be joining a brand like Bally, which has such an incredible heritage. I have been extremely impressed by the work that has been taking place behind-the-scenes so far, and by the values of modern craftsmanship and innovation at the heart of the brand. I look forward to learning from and leading Bally’s talented teams in the future, and to continue these traditions for customers around the world who love the Bally brand.”
