Ayr Central Shopping Centre appoints new manager

Ayr Central Shopping Centre has appointed George Reader as its new centre manager.

The appointment comes just five months after M&G Real Estate acquired the centre which is home to brands such as Debenhams, Primark, Topshop, H&M and Next.

Having spent over 21 years in the shopping centre sector, Reader’s previous roles include centre management positions at Oak Mall Shopping Centre in Greenock, Silverburn Shopping Centre and Princes Square in Glasgow.

Reader said: “I am delighted to be joining Ayr Central at such an exciting time. The shopping environment is brilliant – clean, fresh and lots of open space. The tenant line up is very strong – we cover all shoppers’ needs with our Debenhams department store and a host of top brand high street retailers and local independents.”

Chris Poole, asset manager at M&G Real Estate, added: “George will be a great asset to our team as we progress plans to improve and bring new retail names to Ayr Central – we warmly welcome him to the team.”
