ATCM appoints interim CEO
The Association of Town & City Management has announced that deputy chief executive Shanaaz Carroll has been appointed as interim chief executive.
Carroll has succeeded Martin Blackwell who has left the organisation to head up the Charity Retail Association.
Alexander Nicoll, chairman of ATCM, said: “The board is delighted to appoint Shanaaz Carroll, who has substantial experience of working at both local and national Government levels. Well-respected by our members and by key stakeholders throughout the UK and town centre management partners abroad who work with the ATCM, Shanaaz is the right person to help develop the ATCM as we continue to focus on ensuring the services we offer to our loyal and hard-working membership are the very best they can be.”
Carroll added: “I am excited by this new challenge, and am looking forward to working with our excellent team and the Board to ensure the organisation reaches its full potential.”
