Asprey to be subject of ITV documentary
Luxury brand Asprey is to be the subject of a fly on the wall TV documentary on ITV next month.
To be shown on 3 July at 9pm, ‘Inside Asprey; Luxury by Royal Appointment’ will offer viewers unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the firm’s 167-year old flagship store on London’s Bond Street including both the retail and creative departments.
Filmed over six months in 2013, the documentary shadows Asprey employees and managing director Paddy Byng going through their daily routines. This includes following Asprey’s sales team as it launches the brand’s ‘Private Handbag Collection’ and the creation of a jewellery suite made onsite in Asprey’s workshops. In addition, the programme offers an exclusive glimpse of the hidden workshops housed above the store and the firm’s expert craftspeople at work.
Byng said: “We are pleased to be able to share our unique story through this documentary, a rarity for a brand such as ours. With a close look at the real people behind the Asprey doors, we hope that you will see a true glimpse of this exceptional British brand and those who are truly invested in making Asprey, a true luxury house relevant today.”
