Asos profit ahead of expectations

Asos has said its profit before tax and exceptional items for the year to March 31 2007 is expected to be ‘slightly ahead’ of market expectations.
The company said in a trading statement that sales for the four weeks to 26 April were up 102 percent on last year, and Chief Executive Neil Robertson predicted another year of strong growth in 2007/08.
