ASOS appoints former Punch Taverns CEO as non-exec director
Online fashion retailer ASOS has appointed former Punch Taverns chief executive Ian Dyson as a senior independent and non-executive director.
Taking up his new role on 1 October, Dyson is currently a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee at Betfair and a non-executive director at Punch Taverns. From 2005 to 2010, he was group finance and operations director at Marks and Spencer and prior to that was group finance director at Rank Group.
Commenting on the appointment ASOS chairman Brian McBride said: “Ian has a wealth of experience of being at the forefront of large UK listed consumer-led businesses and has strong understanding of both the retail industry and of technology. He brings a new perspective to an already experienced non-executive team and we welcome him to the ASOS board.”
