Argos stengthens digital team with appointment of special projects manager

Argos has strengthened its digital team with the appointment of former EMI Music executive Lucy Butler to the newly created role of special projects manager.

Reporting to Argos digital director Bertrand Bodson, Butler has recently joined the business and has already helped drive projects such as the opening of the retailer’s new digital hub office in Victoria and strategies to help customers get online in partnership with Go ON UK.

Butler was previously senior strategy and insight manager at EMI Music and prior to that was a consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants, working across a number of sectors including retail, technology and media.

Commenting on the appointment Bodson said: “I am delighted to be working with Lucy again as I know she will bring considered insight and actionable plans to support the strategic pillars of our digital transformation. She is already making a real difference to the business with her ability to work with broader partners and make things happen fast such as setting up the Digital Hub from scratch in record time.”

Butler added: “I am privileged to be a part of Argos’s transformation journey. It is such an exciting time for the business, and I have encountered so much forward thinking and appetite for change in the short time that I have been here already.”
