Argos cuts or freezes over 10,000 prices

The Home Retail Group owned Argos chain has launched its new autumn/winter range in which nearly 10,000 prices have either been lowered or frozen.

More than 43,000 products were launched at the weekend across toys, technology, homewares and furniture, over 8,000 of which are new lines.

The new range, which includes brands such as Beats by Dre, Lego, Rotary, Samsung, Dyson, Apple and Chad Valley, is being made available both online and in over 700 Argos shops.

The retailer said shoppers could also take advantage of over 500 “market-leading ‘WOW’ deals” featured across its catalogue, website, mobile site and apps, with online prices checked and updated daily.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

David Robinson, Argos’ chief operating officer, said: “As well as having must-have products and top brands, our mission is to be at the forefront of the digital wave, helping customers to browse and buy whenever and wherever they want. Our website and apps received nearly 740 million hits over the past year, while shopping by mobile grew 89% to account for 18% of total sales.

“Supporting our online offer, we are rolling out more digital concept stores which combine the speed and ease of online shopping with the convenience of a physical presence on the high street.”
