Arcadia Group’s HQ assets to be sold via online auction

Administrators for Arcadia Group are arranging for the chairs, sofas and desks from the fashion empire’s London head office to be sold.

Deloitte has asked Hilco Valuation Services, the European arm of Hilco Global, to oversee the the sale of the items which were used at the offices of the parent company of Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Miss Selfridge.

The executive suite at Colegrave House in London’s Berners Street housed the chairman and chief executive’s office as well as the boardroom, meeting rooms, other offices and a fully equipped kitchen and catering facility.

Hilco has been asked to generate an inclusive marketing campaign to find buyers for all types of available assets.

Kevin Smyth, managing director of Hilco Valuation Services Europe for Hilco Global, said: “The portfolio of Arcadia assets being offered is typically ‘best in class’ with the executive suite being an example of this comprising the highest quality for furniture of this type.”

Items will be sold via a two-day online auction on 24 and 25 of March and will include IT, designer furniture, photographic studio equipment and fabric cutting and sewing machinery and accessories. Separate private treaty sales will be held for the contents of the executive suite  and the commercial level kitchen and catering facility.

The sale will be followed by further sales of assets by Hilco, which could include distribution centres and equipment at other locations.
