Anna Crona to leave Ikea
Anna Crona, the marketing director at Ikea UK & Ireland, is to leave the furniture retailer at the end of August according to a report in Marketing Week.
Crona, who has worked with the furniture retailer for 25 years, said she is leaving to pursue a new career but has not given any further details. Ikea plans to replace Crona but in the interim Martin Hansson, IKEA UK’s retail manager, will assume responsibility for the role.
Prior to taking up the UK marketing director role in 2006, Crona was in charge of global e-commerce for the Swedish retailer.
Crona was responsible for a number of advertisement and store opening campaigns throughout her tenure as well as the development of a loyalty programme and the company’s first mobile app.
