Gap and Nordstrom potential partners
July 5 2002
Amazon.com is planning to add clothing to the range of products it sells online.

According to a report in the New York Times, Amazon is talking to possible partners, with Gap and Nordstrom among the front runners.
Amazon has already demonstrated the success of strategic partnerships with other retailers, such as Toys R Us, and also recently announced it will handle the US e-commerce operation of Virgin Entertainment.
