Alesha Dixon to open Best Buy stores
Best Buy UK has confirmed that Alesha Dixon will launch its two latest stores in Hayes and Cribbs Causeway later this month.
The singer and Strictly Come Dancing Star will give her first live performances of the year at the free gigs at the stores on 22 April (Hayes) and 30 April (Cribbs Causeway).
Dixon said: “I’m looking forward to getting back on stage for my first live gigs this year. I’ve heard thousands turn up to Best Buy’s store openings, so I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing day. People don’t expect me to be all that tech savvy but I don’t go anywhere without my Blackberry and iPad, and no doubt I’ll be one of the first through the doors on Friday!”
Dixon will perform a five-track set at each gig, taking songs from her three albums including smash “The Boy Does Nothing”. Wristbands will be handed out on a first come, first served basis to gain access to the performance area.
A spokesperson from Best Buy UK, said, “The whole Best Buy team has been working hard to get everything ready for the openings this month, and the finish line’s in sight now. We can’t wait to open the doors and show customers what we’re all about. Our Blueshirts will be pulling out all the stops with the best service in town. With some amazing weekend-only offers and exciting entertainment, there will be something for everyone and a great opportunity for people to come down and get their first taste of a Best Buy store in their local area.”
