Aldi to launch Christmas TV ad starring Jools Holland
Aldi is to launch a Christmas TV advert starring Jools Holland who also created the soundtrack for the advert.
Making its debut this evening during Emmerdale on ITV1, the 60-second advert uses the tagline ‘Everyone’s coming to us this Christmas’.
The advert opens with a family enjoying Christmas food around a table, then seamlessly links to other groups of people around the globe enjoying food and drink available from Aldi. It also features a cameo from Jean Jones, the pensioner from Darlington who has starred in a number of commercials for Aldi including the Gin adverts and the 2011 Tea Commercial.
Jools Holland makes his appearance towards the end of the advert playing his music on a black grand piano, accompanied by his band.
Never Miss a Retail Update!A 30-second version of the advert will also run, as well as 20-second product adverts which will be released as part of Aldi’s Christmas ad campaign.

“The commercial also demonstrates to consumers it is possible to do your entire food shop for Christmas at Aldi.”
