150 UK Body Shop jobs to go in restructure

Body Shop says ‘organisational changes may result in a reduction of approximately 275 jobs worldwide, of which around 150 may be from the UK’.

A spokeswoman for The Body Shop could not confirm how many jobs might be affected at the company’s sites in Wick, where the UK and Republic of Ireland operations is based, and Watersmead, the global headquarters.
It’s thought that 800 people work at these sites.
“In line with previous organisational changes at The Body Shop, the company has confirmed that, as it starts consultation, it will make every effort to redeploy affected employees in suitable new positions within the revised structure. “Where this is not possible, those leaving the company will be generously supported to help secure their future.”
Stores and store staff will not be affected by the re structure.
