Waitrose offers full range of products for vegan Christmas dinner
Waitrose has added more vegan products than ever to its festive range to enable customers to enjoy a full vegan Christmas dinner this year.
The retailer said its Waitrose Entertaining offering has seen orders for vegan and vegetarian lines increase by 49% year-on-year and the company is predicting that sales will grow even further.
Waitrose also said searches for ‘Vegan Christmas Food’ on Waitrose.com are up 188% compared to the same time last year.
With over 20 vegan products on offer this Christmas at the retailer, this is the first year that customers can purchase a full Waitrose vegan Christmas dinner.
Simona Cohen-Vida-Welsh, vegan product developer at Waitrose, said: “I am delighted we are now able to provide a vegan option for every course and with vegan and vegetarian Waitrose Entertaining orders up 49% compared to last year, I have no doubt that this category will continue to go from strength to strength. I am already excited to see how we can expand the range even further next Christmas.”
The retailer’s best selling products in the vegan category so far this year include its new Vegan Mini No Beef Empanadas and Vegan Thai Style No Fishcakes.
