Waitrose launches Virtual Food and Drink Festival
Waitrose is launching its first ever Virtual Food and Drink Festival.
Running from 12 to 15 November, the event will give customers the chance to take part in live cooking lessons from the Waitrose Cookery School and masterclasses with guest chefs Nathan Outlaw and Dhruv Baker. They will also be able to find out what inspires Heston Blumenthal.
In addition, Waitrose drinks experts will be organising wine talks, tastings and cocktail demos that will be hosted by some of the retailer’s favourite suppliers and producers, including Phillip Schofield, wine columnist for Waitrose Weekend.
Martin George, director of customer at Waitrose, said: “This event is unlike anything we’ve ever done before and replaces our annual Drinks Festival which we can’t hold in person this year due to the pandemic. We’re thrilled to be offering customers the very best of Waitrose in a virtual celebration of food and drink.”
Tickets cost £15 for a one day pass.
