Waitrose expands and updates No.1 range

The Waitrose supermarket chain has expanded and updated its premium No.1 range.

Over 150 new products have been added to the range while 80 existing products have been updated and improved.

The total range will encompass 740 products across all categories with a focus on restaurant quality ingredients and flavours such as truffle, nduja and burrata.

Natalie Mitchell, head of product innovation and own brand at Waitrose & Partners, said: “Our No.1 range is the perfect way to showcase the most interesting and top quality flavours and ingredients we have to offer. By taking traditional ingredients and recipes and elevating them to be the best they can be, we want our customers to feel like chefs in their own home with this exciting range of products.”

The food items are created exclusively by Waitrose chefs and the supermarket’s product development team.

Some products within the range have been given new packaging as part of Waitrose’s plans to make all own-brand packaging widely recyclable, reusable or home compostable by 2023.
