Virgin Wines revenue up 6.7% in run-up to Christmas
Virgin Wines UK saw its revenue increase by 6.7% year-on year during the six weeks to 27 December.
The retailer said the performance was driven by initiatives to grow customer numbers, which resulted in a 25% year-on-year uplift in new recruits across December.
Giving an update on its first half performance in the six months to 27 December, Virgin Wines said revenue was broadly in line with the same period in the prior year at £34.1 million.
Meanwhile, pre-tax profit climbed by 20% to £1.3 million.
