The Real Greek embarks on northern expansion
The Real Greek is expanding into the north of England by opening at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
With the launch due in February, the brand is taking a 4,700 square foot unit in the shopping centre’s food court.
The Real Greek has been operating restaurants in London since 1999 and has also expanded across the south of England to take its total number of restaurants to 21. It also runs its ‘Greek on the Street’ Souvlaki shop which is inspired by Greek street food culture.
Nabil Mankarious, managing director of The Real Greek, said: “The last few years have been amazing and we’ve been delighted at the way people have embraced The Real Greek and everything it represents. We are excited to be taking the brand to the North of England and the Trafford Centre is an obvious choice for one of our first northern restaurants. Manchester has a huge foodie scene and it’s only right that The Real Greek becomes a part of this at the region’s biggest retail and leisure destination.”
Rhys Evans, director of asset management at The Trafford Centre, added: “The Real Greek is an important addition to Trafford Centre’s food and drink offering. It is an exciting and unique brand, so we are proud to be supporting this restaurant brand in its expansion into the Northern food scene.”
