Tesco backs 16 innovative new brands as part of 2024 Accelerator Programme

Tesco has stepped up its commitment to championing new brands through the launch of a second cohort of products for its 2024 Accelerator Programme.

The initiative aims to introduce small and trend-led brands into the supermarket to support diversity within its supply base whilst delivering innovation for customers.

As part of the scheme, the companies will all take part in a year-long mentoring, learning, and development programme focused on growth.

The selection criteria includes a commitment by Tesco to support brands led by individuals from under-represented backgrounds which means that ten of the companies are diverse or women-owned. There are also a number of brands that are committed to reducing their environmental impact across the supply chain or to supporting a healthier way of living.

Rachel Hann, head of innovation and express product strategy at Tesco, said: “We’re passionate about supporting diversity within our supply base which reflects the communities we serve across the UK, and these new brands add to the fresh and inspirational selection from our first cohort earlier this year. We can’t wait to see how customers respond to them.”

The new brands include:

Aagrah Foods
Arden Grange
Better Nature Tempeh
Bold Beanco
Fearne & Rosie
Jake and Nayns
Jiddler’s Tipple
JNCK Bakery
Neat
Nutriburst Vitamins
My Little Piccolo
Pooch and Mutt
Seep
Super Foodio
The Gut Stuff
Wha Gwan
