Subway appoints Peter Dowding to head up UK and Ireland business

Sandwich retailer Subway has appointed Peter Dowding as its country director for the UK and Ireland.

Dowding’s previous experience includes working with international brands such as Carlsberg, Britvic Soft Drinks and Coffee Nation. In his new position, Dowding will be responsible for developing the Subway brand in the UK and Ireland, working with a team of development agents across the territory. He will be based at Subway’s Cambridge headquarters where he will help drive ongoing growth and expansion.

Justin Goes, regional director for Europe at Subway, said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Subway team to head up the development s the retail and drinks industries, as well as relevant franchising expertise, which will be invaluable as we continue to grow the business.”

Subway has 2,300 stores across the UK and Ireland and over 44,000 stores in over 110 countries.
