Sorted Food’s collab with The Online Wine Tasting Club
Sorted Food, the social media movement dedicated to inspiring millions to find joy in cooking, is set to host a record-breaking wine tasting event.
With nearly three million subscribers on YouTube, Sorted Food has partnered with The Online Wine Tasting Club to invite its young global foodie community to a virtual, interactive event aimed at demystifying the world of wine. Participants will enjoy six different grapes and wine styles.
Sorted Food was founded by a group of old school friends passionate about food and cooking. Their mission is to help people become awesome home cooks through entertaining and educational online content and the Sidekick recipe app. Sorted Food has grown into one of the world’s largest online food communities, with over three million members globally. The Sidekick recipe app serves up 10,000 meals weekly, with 1.8 million cooked to date.
A unique wine tasting experience
Sorted Food, along with The Online Wine Tasting Club, has curated a unique experience perfect for wine tasting novices. Participants will receive a box of six wines delivered right to their doorstep, ready to taste live with the Sorted Food team on Friday, September 13th, at 7 PM on Sorted Food’s YouTube channel. The event is priced at £29.95 per box. With 85% of Sorted Food’s community aged 18-45, this event aims to introduce a younger audience to the joys of wine.
The founders of Sorted Food will guide attendees through the wines, sharing essential knowledge and vocabulary to help amateur wine drinkers understand the styles and grapes they enjoy. They will offer tips on what to look for when buying wine and how to make informed choices at restaurants. The live event format will allow attendees to ask questions and share their opinions via the comments section.
Jamie Spafford, Sorted Food Co-Founder, comments, “As part of our mission to ‘lift the cloche’ on the world of food and drink, we know that wine can be intimidating. With various grapes, regions, and pairings, there’s a lot to learn. Chef Ben, one of our co-founders, has delved deep into the subject and is eager to share his knowledge. We thought, what better way to do this than by inviting our community to join us at a tasting where they can enjoy the wines too!”
Alex and Jamie, founders of The Online Wine Tasting Club, add, “As huge fans of Sorted Food, we’re incredibly excited about this new partnership. We hope it will introduce a younger audience to the fun and variety of wine exploration.”
