Sainsbury’s opens new Salford convenience store
Sainsbury’s has opened a new Local store in Salford’s New Bailey Square.
Situated just around the corner from Salford Central Station, the convenience store will offer customers a range of grocery and household products as well the opportunity to pick up a fresh coffee from a self-service Costa coffee machine or an orange juice from a fresh juicer. The shop also features an in-store bakery.
Sainsbury’s property director Patrick Dunne said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new Local store in such a vibrant and exciting area of Salford. I’m sure customers visiting the store will enjoy the convenience of all the great value and quality products on offer alongside the friendly service from our colleagues.”
Employing 18 staff members, the store will play an active role in the local area and support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners. Charities in the area that Sainsbury’s has recently supported include Salford Food Bank, Salford Women’s Aid and Wood Street Mission.
Sainsbury’s Salford New Bailey Square store manager Shelly Williams said: “Our great team of colleagues have done a fantastic job to get the store launch ready and we can’t wait to welcome customers. We know how important access to great value groceries is, which is why we’re so proud to be opening the doors today.”
