Sainsbury’s opens first store of 2025

Sainsbury’s has opened  its first new store of 2025 in London’s Edgware.

Spanning 2,626 square feet. the Burnt Oak Broadway Local store offers a range of meal deals, bread and cakes baked daily in-store, fruit and veg, meat, fish, and meal solutions.

Customers can also  buy coffee from a self-serve Costa Coffee machine and take advantage of the retailer’s Click & Collect service where they can pick up orders from  Sainsbury’s Argos, Habitat and Tu Clothing brands.

As with other Sainsbury’s stores, the new shop team will work together to support good causes in the community, including redistributing surplus food locally via the retailer’s partnership with Neighbourly.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

The shop is situated on the ground floor of SNG’s new Icon at Burnt Oak development, which offers 100 affordable homes including Shared Ownership apartments.

Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s director of property, procurement & EV ventures, said: “It was a pleasure to attend the opening of Sainsbury’s Burnt Oak Broadway today and take the opportunity to hear what our new customers think, hot on the heels of launching our brand new neighbouring supermarket in Hendon last November.

“We’re excited to be a part of the stylish Icon development, where our new store will provide even more convenience and choice for customers in this part of London.”
