Sainsbury’s launches “biggest ever” Aldi Price Match campaign
Sainsbury’s has added over 40 products to its Aldi Price Match campaign, which the retailer says is the biggest yet with over 400 products.
New items include a range of By Sainsbury’s soups, burger buns and bread, as well as sweet treats like Bramley apple pies.
The supermarket is also applying Nectar prices to selected frozen foods items for the first time.
With the roll-out of Nectar prices now completed, customers can access the savings on over 5,000 products in Sainsbury’s supermarkets and online. Sainsbury’s said customers have saved over £244 million since the launch of the scheme in April.
Earlier this year, Sainsbury’s rebranded all its entry price point brands to the new name of Stamford Street. The range consists of around 200 products that are being rolled out over the summer.
Simon Roberts, chief executive of Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re continuing to do all we can to battle inflation and as costs fall, so do our prices. We’re passing savings on as fast as we can, wherever we can, so that customers get the very best prices when they shop with us. With our biggest ever Aldi Price Match and Nectar Prices campaigns, whatever you’re shopping for you will always be getting great value at Sainsbury’s.”
