Premium small-batch tequila by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson debuts in Selfridges
Teremana® Tequila – the premium, small-batch tequila founded by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and co-owned by Mast-Jägermeister SE – is set to launch in Selfridges stores across the UK on August 5th.
Selfridges, which has recently doubled its tequila range to stock 150 different bottles to meet the demand for the trending spirit, will exclusively be the first retailer to offer Teremana® Añejo to consumers in the UK. Teremana®’s full range, including Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo expressions, will be available in their London, Manchester, and Birmingham stores.
The handcrafted, award-winning tequila is made at its own distillery, Destilería Teremana® de Agave, in the Jalisco Highlands of Mexico. In partnership with the Lopez family – third-generation agave growers and second-generation tequila makers – Teremana® is crafted using fully mature, 100% Blue Weber agave. The agave is slow-roasted at low temperatures in small traditional brick ovens and distilled in handmade copper pot stills under the unique NOM, 1613.

Successful expansion and recognition
With Selfridges’ reputation for stocking the highest quality tequila, this expansion was a natural next step following Teremana®’s Blanco launch in the UK earlier this year. Since launching in the US in 2020, Teremana® quickly became the fastest premium spirit brand to reach 1m 9L cases of sales in a rolling 12 months, winning 17 top spirits awards and accolades.
Pop-up tasting events at Selfridges
The brand’s debut in Selfridges stores will see the brand activate a pop-up in the wine shop for a month, with tastings taking place three times weekly to help ‘Share the Mana’ and introduce consumers to the craft that goes into each bottle.

The philosophy behind Teremana®

Teremana® Tequila will be available in three expressions – Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo.
- Teremana® Blanco features tasting notes of fresh citrus, roasted agave, tropical fruit, and lemongrass, with a smooth, fresh finish.
- Teremana® Reposado, aged for a minimum of 2 months in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, has rich notes with roasted agave, oak, vanilla, spices, and tropical fruit, with a smooth finish.
- Teremana® Añejo, aged for a minimum of 12 months in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, features rich, warm oak, vanilla, and roasted agave, with a lightly sweet and complex finish.
