Piper exits Mindful Chef
Piper, the specialist investor in consumer brands, has exited its investment in the Midful Chef healthy recipe box meals company to Nestlé.
Founded in 2015 by school friends Giles Humphries, Myles Hopper and Robert Grieg-Gran, the company has now delivered over 9.5 million meals to households across the UK.
In 2018, Piper invested £6 million in the business to enable it to expand its customer base in the UK. Since then Mindful Chef has increased its sales fivefold to £50 million.
Giles Humphries, Mindful Chef co-founder said: “We would like to thank the team at Piper for their invaluable support both before and throughout their time of investment. They have enabled us to drive tremendous growth and increase brand awareness while remaining true to our cause and helped set us up for this next stage of our journey.”
Piper investment director Rory Gibbs added: “We have very much enjoyed working with Giles, Myles, Robert and the Mindful Chef team. Their passion and vision for Mindful Chef has been evident from the start and we’ve been delighted to help them bring their inspiring and delicious brand to so many new consumers. We wish them the very best for the future.”
