Ocado appoints Adam Warby as new chair
Ocado Group has appointed technology veteran Adam Warby as its new chair.
He will join the online grocer as a non-executive director on 1 November and will assume the role of chair a month later.
Warby has extensive executive experience in the technology sector and has also been chair at a range of international companies.
Currently serving as chair of Heidrick & Struggles, the provider of global leadership advisory and on-demand talent solutions, he was previously chair of Software One, the Swiss enterprise software and cloud advice firm, and a non-executive director at SimCorp, a leading Fintech provider.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Microsoft and IBM and was a founding member of Avanade Corporation where he was chief executive for 11 years.
At Ocado, Warby will succeed Rick Haythornthwaite who will step down from the board following a period of transition.,

Ocado has also announced that it has agreed an extension of Andrew Harrison’s tenure as senior independent director and designated non-executive director for workforce engagement for an additional 12 months beyond the conclusion of his nine year term on 1 March 2025.
The company said: “Andrew has a deep understanding of the business and he will help provide the board and leadership team with stability and continuity during the chair succession process.”
