Natoora to open second Chelsea store

Fruit and vegetable supplier Natoora is to open a 540 square foot standalone store on London’s Fulham Road.

Due to launch in August, the store will be designed to challenge the traditional idea of a greengrocer by also educating consumers on the importance of eating seasonal, traceable produce sourced directly from growers.

With a temperature-controlled environment that aims to keep produce at the right humidity level, the shop will stock a range of what Natoora describes as “radically seasonal” fruit and vegetables, a living wall of shoppable microgreens from Natoora’s organic partner farm in Cornwall, as well as hand-forged steel knives from Blenheim Forge and handmade ceramics from New York potter Fernando Aciar.

Natoora’s in-house range of traceable, freshly prepared food-to-go will also be available.

The store will be Natoora’s second shop in the Chelsea area following an opening on Sloane Square. The company also supplies over 600 London restaurants with produce.

Tim Ballard, chief commercial officer at Natoora, said: “Our radically seasonal approach to sourcing has been an incredible success in our Sloane Square store and we’re very excited to be building on this vision for the future of fresh produce in our new Chelsea location.”

Hannah Grievson, commercial property director at Sloane Stanley, added: “Natoora’s commitment to flavoursome, in-season ingredients makes them a brilliant and sought-after addition to the estate. I am confident Natoora’s high-quality produce and delicious, wholesome dishes will be incredibly popular with Chelsea shoppers and our local residents.”
