M&S launches new food magazine
Marks & Spencer has launched a new bi-monthly food magazine for its 30 million customers across the UK.
Spanning 72 pages, the publication includes recipes ranging from easy mid-week meals to laid-back weekend feasts. Normally available in-store at a cost of £2, the retailer’s 15 million members of its Sparks loyalty scheme will be able to get the magazine free of charge by scanning their Sparks card at the checkout.
The first issue, which is called Spring Feasts, focuses on the best seasonal spring produce sourced from British growers with 45 recipes.
M&S said the launch is part of its commitment to deliver trusted value to customers and the magazine will feature a regular budget-friendly feature centred around its Remarksable Value range.
Readers will get an insight into M&S ambassador and comedian Tom Allen’s Easter favourites and kitchen fails while fellow ambassador, wine expert and TV Star Fred Sirieix will share his top rosé selections as part of a regular segment in the magazine.
The new publication has replaced the retailer’s existing quarterly Fresh magazine and is edited by M&S Food editor Heather Taylor with art direction by Helen Richardson.
M&S Food marketing director Sharry Cramond said: “Our new magazine is all about bringing more of the M&S magic direct to our customer’s homes at great value. Our recipes are designed to be relevant for everyone, with budget-friendly meal inspiration, the best seasonal spreads and indulgent weekend treats. Combined with celebrity interviews and expert tips from our ambassadors, we’re excited to launch the magazine across our Foodhalls.
“The launch of the magazine is also another great reason for customers to sign up to our Sparks loyalty scheme, benefitting from personalised offers, relevant treats and helping us to support local communities and good causes.”
