M&S Food cuts prices of over 200 products

M&S Food is cutting the prices of over 200 products by an average of 11% as part of its promise to deliver “trusted value”.

Examples of products where prices have been reduced include DNA traceable British beef mince (£4.25), responsibly sourced tuna steaks (£5.50), and over 15 soups such as Chunky Vegetable (£1.10).

Alex Freudmann, managing director at M&S Food, said: “I believe the quality of M&S Food can’t be matched. We use only the best ingredients and always aim to make the most delicious food. We’re proud to sell the widest range of RSPCA Assured products and be the number one retailer for animal welfare.

“But while we continue to deliver industry-leading quality, it’s important we don’t lose sight of what’s also important for our customers this autumn – value. That’s why we’re passing on savings to customers and cutting prices once again as part of our trusted value promise. So customers can be confident that whenever they shop with M&S they’ll be getting the best possible food for the best possible price.”

The move follows price cuts on over 75 M&S Food products in June and last month’s extension of the the retailer’s Price Lock on over 140 customer favourites until after Christmas.

M&S has also revealed that its customers seem to planning further ahead for Christmas this year as festive food-to-order sales are up 22% compared to this time last year.
