M&S Food and ITV’s Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain on air tonight

M&S Food’s second co-funded primetime TV show with ITV, Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain, is set to launch this evening on ITV at 8.30pm.

The 6 x 30’ six-part series follows the Michelin-starred chef as he travels across the UK in a remodelled 1950s food truck to visit a range of farmers and growers behind Britain’s food, including some of M&S’ 9,000 Select Farm partners.

Along the way, Tom will meet Cornish fisherman, Scottish fruit farmers and mushroom growers in West Lancashire. Tom will dig into the history, culture and people of the places he visits as well as cooking up a storm with some of the amazing ingredients he finds on his journey.

Throughout the series, idents will feature Tom sharing M&S products from the suppliers featured in the show. A new cookbook, Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain, has also been launched by Bloomsbury which is available in 40 M&S stores and celebrates the best ingredients Britain has to offer.

ITV x M&S Food Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain partnership will be brought to life and amplified across key customer touch points including online, CRM, our Sparks loyalty programme, PR, social and M&S store social Facebook and TikTok channels. In addition to selling the Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain book in 40 stores, all the recipes from the show will be available on the online recipe hub online. So viewers can watch the show, shop the ingredients and cook the recipes at home.

The new show is the second Ad Funded Production between M&S Food and ITV and has been co-created with South Shore and Bone Soup Productions. Each episode is 30-minutes long and will be available to watch on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain builds on the success of ‘Cooking with the Stars’, the ultimate celebrity culinary contest which launched in 2021, and aims to inspire viewers of all ages to cook from scratch with great quality ingredients at home. Nominated for the best ‘Talent Show’ category at the 2024 National Television Awards, the fourth series is set to air later this month.

Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director at M&S Food, said: “It’s absolutely brilliant to be teaming up with ITV again to bring Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain to screens this week. At M&S Food, we are incredibly passionate about showcasing the very best of British farming and quality, in-season produce and Tom Kerridge is just as passionate, making him the perfect partner.

We know customers are keen to find out more about where their food comes from and how it is made so it’s great to be bringing those stories to life. All the ingredients needed for the recipes featured in the series will be available at viewer’s local M&S so everyone can get involved. We can’t wait for people to see our amazing new series and are confident it will be as popular as Cooking With the Stars, our first and incredibly successful advertising-funded show.”

Tom Kerridge said: “I absolutely loved working with ITV and M&S Food to discover the stories behind the very best ingredients Britain has to offer. By travelling around Britain and visiting farmers and producers, we were able to see just how much effort and dedication goes into producing the quality food we eat.

I particularly loved visiting the strawberry farm and the mussel farm on the Isle of Mull which honoured us with the biggest downpour I’ve ever seen!  I then got to cook using the freshest and best produce right there on my less than reliable truck!  I can honestly say I had the best time, and I can’t wait to share the stories with viewers and see what they think. When M&S say it’s not just food, they mean it. It’s never just food.”
