Morrisons launches food box service for NHS staff
Morrisons has launched a click and collect food box service from hospital car parks to give NHS staff an easier way to pick up essential grocery items.
The supermarket has launched the click and collect service at two Leeds hospitals. Orders can be placed via a dedicated website and staff can pick up their boxes on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 am and 8am and 4pm and 6pm.
There are boxes suited to both vegetarians and meat eaters with both priced at £30. Typical contents include items such as canned baked beans, soup, pasta sauce, milk, dairy products, bread, rice, pasta and vegetables.
The vegetarian food box includes vegetarian proteins such as meat free sausages and mince while the meat box offers chicken and/or beef products.
David Potts, Morrisons chief executive, said: “At this important time, the National Health Service is supporting the whole country so we need to support them too. We will be taking this service to many more hospitals to help feed NHS staff as they face into the challenges of treating people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.”
