Morrisons extends partnership with Deliveroo to 500 convenience stores
Morrisons has extended its partnership with Deliveroo to enable it to offer on demand grocery deliveries from 500 of its Morrisons Daily convenience stores.
Shoppers will be able to order from a range of 2,500 fresh, frozen and ambient items.
Having worked with Deliveroo since the Covid pandemic in April 2020, Morrisons already has the service running in around 390 supermarkets.
Joseph Sutton, convenience, online and wholesale director for Morrisons, said: “Our partnership with Deliveroo has gone from strength to strength since we first started working together in 2020.
“Customers tell us how important rapid delivery services are to them and so we’re delighted to be extending the Deliveroo service and making it available from 500 of our Morrisons Daily stores.”
Suzy McClintock, VP of grocery and retail at Deliveroo, said: “We are thrilled to continue bringing more of Morrisons’ fantastic range straight to our customers’ homes, including price matching to in store prices on some of the most popular items, making everyday life a little easier.”
Morrisons has around 1,600 Morrisons Daily convenience stores across the UK of which circa 600 are franchise stores. The stores offer the supermarket’s core convenience range, fresh food to go, and a selection of Morrisons popular Market Street fresh food.
Earlier this month, Morrisons extended its partnership with surplus food marketplace Too Good To Go to its convenience stores following a successful trial in some parts of the UK.
In September 2021, Deliveroo also launched its first delivery-only grocery store ‘Deliveroo Hop’ in partnership with Morrisons.
