Morrisons extends lunch item meal deal

Morrisons has extended its lunchtime meal deal by making the £3 offer inclusive of all sandwiches and snacks from its lunchtime range.

The 370-strong range includes exotic items such as a Black Sushi Rice Vegan Wrap, Pineapple, Guava and Baobab Juice, and a Beef and Horseradish on a Rye Baguette. It also includes premium sandwiches from Morrisons The Best range such as the ‘Katsu Chicken Pouch’ and ‘Ham Hock, Cheddar and Chutney Sandwich’, and a range of artisan sandwiches. Susshi selection packs, seasonal salads and infused waters are also included.

Morrisons has highlighted new research from The Food People which found that UK shoppers are eating more foods from around the world for lunch. Morrisons’ new autumn range includes dishes from over 20 countries, including Argentina, Japan, Turkey, Morocco, Thailand and the US.

Sian Ayling, Morrisons Meal Deal buyer said: “Customers have told us they want all lunch items included in our meal deal. They also want more exciting foods, such as those they’ve eaten in restaurants or on holiday.”

With many of Morrison’s lunchtime products made daily in store, customers can select any main, any snack and any drink from its range for £3. The deal is available in all 492 Morrisons stores.
