Morrisons expands loyalty scheme to include baby formula
Morrisons is offering shoppers the new option of redeeming their More Card Fivers on first baby formula milk.
The move follows the Competition and Markets Authority making recommendations to the UK, Northern Irish, Scottish and Welsh governments to amend current regulations to enable parents to use gift cards, vouchers, loyalty points and coupons to purchase infant formula.
More Card members can now redeem their £5 vouchers on the products.
Wider CMA regulations in place since 2007 mean customers are still unable to earn More Card Points when buying baby formula.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Kate Lavery, director of loyalty at the supermarket, said: “First baby formula is an essential item in the weekly shop for many parents, and we are helping them to save on their purchase by allowing More Card Fivers to be redeemed on the product.
“This is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering market-leading value through the More Card, whether it’s savings on everyday essentials, exclusive promotions, or rewarding loyal customers with offers to make their budgets stretch further.”
Morrisons More Card customers are offered exclusive discounts and earn five More Card Points for every item purchased in-store or online. Additional promotional points are available on selected products, with offers communicated through the Morrisons More Card app or in-store. Once a More Card holder accumulates 5,000 points, they receive a More Card Fiver, which can be redeemed against their shopping.
Earlier this month, Morrisons introduced More Card Stamps that are awarded to customers for every £10 they spend in store. Until June they can be used to purchase selected Pyrex products.
