Modern Milkman launches e-bike doorstep delivery service

Modern Milkman, the B-corp-certified 21st-century milk round, is launching a fleet of e-bikes to deliver produce to doorsteps across south west London this month.

Using 95% less CO2 than a petrol car, the e-bikes deliver throughout the night, dropping items to customers by 7.30am up to three times weekly.

Offerings include products such as sourdough bread, eggs, fresh juices and milk in reusable glass bottles, as well as premium products like smoked chorizo jam and pistachio cream spread.

Lucy Mooney, people and brand director at Modern Milkman, said: “We’ve seen a gap in the market for fresh, high-quality produce, provided by British suppliers, to sort London’s essentials.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“Delivered overnight to doorsteps by our e-bikes, for a lesser impact on the environment, the size and agility of our fleet allows us to expand into the Southwest of London.

“We are excited to launch this and to get even more Londoners taking tasty, small steps to support British businesses as well as the planet.”

The company is currently looking to expand around London before taking the service to other UK cities in 2026.
