McColl’s teams up with Deliveroo on grocery delivery service

Convenience retailer McColl’s is to offer customers a new home delivery service through a partnership with Deliveroo.

The retailer will make a range of everyday essential items available from over 120 stores for the on-demand service which will eventually cover 300 McColl’s stores across the country.

Customers will be able to make their purchases through the Deliveroo app and have items delivered to their home via the Deliveroo rider network in as little as under 30 minutes. All deliveries will be a contact-free to ensure the safety of customers during the coronavirus crisis.

Products available through the service will include groceries, soft drinks, confectionery, snacks, beer, wine, toiletries, and household goods.

Jonathan Miller, chief executive of McColl’s, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Deliveroo at this important time. We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to get their daily essentials as they stay at home. The partnership allows us to further our support of the neighbourhood communities we serve, providing the option of home delivery for a wide range of quality goods from our stores across the country.”
