McColl’s appoints Richard Crampton as chief commercial officer
Convenience retailer McColl’s has appointed Richard Crampton to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.
Crampton has been managing director of the buying group at the Co-op since 2015. Prior to this, he spent over seven years at Sainsbury’s where he held a variety of commercial roles.
Jonathan Miller, chief executive of McColl’s, said: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to McColl’s. His background with the multiple grocers and his extensive experience in convenience and food retail will be a tremendous benefit to our business as we further strengthen our neighbourhood convenience offer.”
Crampton will join McColl’s this autumn.
The retailer has an estate of around 1,550 managed convenience stores and newsagents across the UK.
