Marks & Spencer to donate 5p from sale of every Farmhouse loaf to Young Minds
Marks & Spencer has announced that it will donate 5p from the sale of every loaf in its Farmhouse loaf range to Young Minds, the UK charity fighting for young people’s mental health.
The range comprises the Soft White Farmhouse Bread Loaf (400g and 800g), Granary Farmhouse Bread Load (800g), Wholemeal Seeded Farmhouse Bread Loaf (800g), Oaty Farmhouse Bread Loaf (800g) and Golden Wholemeal (800g).
Sharry Cramond, marketing director at M&S Food, said: “We know how much our customers resonate with our Young Minds partnership, having already helped us raise £1.7m. To further support our target to raise £5m over our three-year partnership, we wanted to bring Young Minds to life in the Foodhall, so we’ve introduced an all year round donation on our customer favourite Farmhouse Bread range.
“By including Young Minds on the packaging of these popular lines, we hope to raise further awareness of the amazing work being done by the team and funds to support 7 million young people – twice as many as before – through Young Minds. Together, we’ve got this.”
M&S launched its partnership with Young Minds in 2023 to raise awareness of the help available to young people struggling with their mental health and to the adults in their lives.
This new initiative will be supported in-store with POS and through customer emails and social media. Consumer PR activity will include food artist Nathan Wyburn creating a toast artwork to launch the on pack partnership.
