Majestic launches new store in Solihull as it accelerates expansion plans

Majestic has opened a new store in Solihull as it accelerates its expansion plans ahead of Christmas.

The wine retailer’s 3,450 square foot unit in Dominion Court is situated just half a mile way from Waitrose, Touchwood Solihull Shopping Centre, Mell Square Shopping Centre and Solihull train station.

Stocking Majestic’s range of more than 1,200 wines, it also offers premium beers, spirits, low and no alcohol alternatives, soft drinks and snacks.

The new shop will also support the retailer’s commercial division which supplies wines to gastropubs, bars and restaurants in the local area.

The opening means that Majestic has now launched five new stores in its current financial year. It will also be opening a new store in Plymouth next week as part plans to expand at an average rate of one new store per month during the coming years.

John Colley, Majestic chief executive, said: “Solihull is a location we’ve been targeting for some time as part of our expansion plans, so we are delighted to be bringing our award-winning wines and expert knowledge to the town just in time for the festive season.

“We’re looking forward to becoming a part of even more communities ahead of Christmas and in the coming years.”
