Lidl to open new London store in Fulham

Lidl is continuing its expansion in London with the opening of a new store in Fulham this summer.

The supermarket said the shop on North End Road has entered the final stages of development with fit-out works now getting underway.

The move forms part of Lidl‘s £500 million investment into London and follows figures from Kantar which showed that it had achieved a market share high of 9.1% in the capital last year.

Grant Shulton, regional head of property for Lidl GB, said: “After all the support we’ve received from members of the community, its exciting to be able to share that we are one step closer to opening the doors to our Fulham store.

“We have a clear commitment to providing shoppers with the very best value, and after becoming the third-largest supermarket in London it really reinforces our dedication to ensuring that everyone can eat affordable, high quality food, no matter where they live.”

Lidl currently operates over 12,200 stores and more than 220 logistics centres and warehouses in 31 countries.
