Lidl to become first supermarket to sell products through TikTok shop

Lidl is to become the first supermarket to sell its products through TikTok Shop.

From 20 February, shoppers will be able to purchase the retailer’s new range of high protein products on the platform with 3,000 exclusive Lidl GB High Protein Bundles, worth over £30, available to buy for £5.

All proceeds from the pop-up venture will go to children’s charity, the NSPCC.

Products will include items such as IronMaxx 100% Whey Protein, Snacktastic High Protein Pop Chips and the Belbake Protein Pancake Mix, as well as Crownfield High Protein Flapjacks and the Maribel High Protein Peanut Butter.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Each bundle will also come with limited-edition merchandise, including a Lidl-branded microfibre towel and a resistance band set.

Joanna Gomer, marketing director of Lidl GB, said: “Our high protein range is a firm  fan favourite with more than 150 high-protein products sold in our stores every minute and our customers across the country taking to social media to share their hauls each week.

“With the number of TikTok shoppers growing rapidly, we’re proud to be the first supermarket meeting our customers directly on the platform with our unique offering, creating these exclusive bundles to showcase our new exciting products.”

Lidl will also be giving away Lidl Plus coupons as part of the bundles, offering shoppers 25% off its popular chilled high protein range in-store. The coupons will be available to redeem until 5 March.
