Knoops appoints Mark Dunhill to board
Speciality drinking chocolate retailer Knoops has appointed former Whittard of Chelsea chief executive Mark Dunhill to its board.
In a statement, Knoops said Dunhill has been working with its team for some time as the company expands into London. Knoops will be opening a flagship store in Kensington later this month and earlier this year launched a shop at Clapham Junction.
Knoops founder Jens Knoops said: “Mark brings amazing experience and knowledge that will allow us to grow, whilst maintaining the wonderful relationships we have developed with our customers, growers and suppliers. The whole team is very excited to have him on board.”
Knoops has seen substantantial growth in online orders during the Covid-19 lockdown period which meant it had to increase its production capacity in Rye where its original store was founded in 2013.
Dunhill added: “Consumers’ expectations for authentic, distinctive and memorable experiences continue to evolve in the premium food and beverage arena. This provides Knoops with a great opportunity to establish itself as the destination for the most varied and satisfying chocolate drink experience – offline and online. I am delighted to have the opportunity to support the Knoops Board and management in their efforts to grow the Knoops brand in both the UK and international markets over time.”
