The Iceland supermarket chain has said it will fast track job applications from Ukrainians escaping war in their country.
The announcement was made on Twitter by the company’s managing director, Richard Walker.
In a tweet, he said: “As of today, we’ll fast track Ukrainians who want to come to the UK by offering them jobs within our depot network. They’ll get support in finding accommodation and their right to work application.”
Last week, the supermarket also announced that it had donated £150,00 to the British Red Cross to help the organisation in its efforts to tackle the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
