Iceland named as ‘Favourite Online Grocery Service’ in Good Housekeeping Food Awards

Iceland has come top for the second year running in the 2022 edition of the Good Housekeeping Food Awards for ‘Favourite Online Grocery Service’.

The supermarket was recognised by Good Housekeeping readers for its variety of initiatives online such as freezing its £1 value range, selling vegetables and everyday essentials for 1p, and free delivery on orders £40 and over. Customers also benefited from the retailer’s longstanding offering of free next day delivery, seven days a week.

David Devany, chief digital and customer officer at Iceland, said: “We’re thrilled to have won the Good Housekeeping Favourite Online Supermarket for the 2nd year running. To be recognised in this way for our online offering solidifies our commitment to our customers, especially with our online services.

“We’re continuing to innovate around our online and delivery options to support customer needs. We’ve seen a great response to our same day delivery service that has rolled out nationwide, and we continue to be the only supermarket that always offers free next day delivery when you spend £40 online.”

Angela Trofymova, head of food testing at Good Housekeeping, added: “Iceland is top for this year’s Online Grocery Service category. Offering a wide range of both frozen and fresh produce at an incredibly reasonable price, it’s no surprise that they’ve triumphed in this category yet again.”
