Haribo to open Bluewater store next week

Haribo is to open its latest retail store in the UK at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.

The move means the confectionery brand will have 11 stores in the country when the shop launches on 12 February.

On the opening day, shoppers will be joined by Haribo’s iconic Goldbear who will lead the official ribbon cutting. The first 50 customers will be offered free goodie bags while other visitors, chosen at random, will win surprise free giveaways throughout the first week of trading.

Aiming to immerse customers in a real-life ‘Happy World of Haribo’, the shop will feature a pick’ n’ mix station and colourful area dedicated to taking selfies.

Ahead of the store’s opening, Rebecca Fox, head of retail at Haribo UK, said: “Bluewater is already special for Haribo UK after we hosted the UK’s largest ball pit at the shopping centre in 2023. Now that we have a permanent presence, we look forward to creating moments of happiness for our customers all-year round.”

James Waugh, centre director at Bluewater, added: “The store is going to be a visual treat so there will be some fantastic photo opportunities, alongside a pick’n’mix centrepiece and a range of Haribo favourites. We’re sure it will be a fantastic addition to our brand line up.”
